Speedo Altitude Snorkel Cap

When I swam as part of the team, we used duct tape to restrict the airflow of the snorkel. The process of taping snorkels was time consuming during practice, and often required us to carry two snorkels. When in use, the taped snorkel also restricted airflow both in and out, which was not necessary.

I took this opportunity to create a better tool for my teammates by designing a piece that could easily fit the top of Speedo's existing snorkel, which would restrict airflow in but not out. Through prototyping, this piece evolved to accommodate specific team needs like variable difficulty and interchangeable tops.

The piece is modeled on rhino and 3D printed at a local Maker Studio. It is friction fit and can come in any color combination. If interested in getting one or learning more leave a comment below.
